Ellis B. House: A Lesbian Perspective

Ellis B. House: A Lesbian Perspective is an art movement founded by Vienna D’Amato Hall. The pioneering Montreal art project gives a platform to lesbians and feminists worldwide to question the world around them and secure their autonomy as women and as artists.

Through various mediums—music, writing, painting, and poetry—women can document their feelings, views, experiences, and expressions.

Ellis B. House is part of Vienna D’Amato Hall’s ongoing art campaign, to exhibit lesbian-oriented events in art cafés throughout Montreal. The artwork created by the lesbian/ feminist perspective is largely overlooked by the mainstream, which results in a lack of awareness of pioneering and revolutionary lesbian artists. Therefore, Ellis B. House is committed to spotlighting the momentum of these great women by organizing performance events based on lesbian culture.

Ellis B. House is a cultural hub for feminist thinkers and a network for lesbian artists in Montreal. Find our upcoming shows on the Ellis B. House website today! Contact us to promote your favourite feminist and lesbian art.
